Dyrham Park was one of the first clubs in Hertfordshire to have its course slope rated from all three tees (white, yellow & red).

A-1 Out of Bounds (Rule 27)
B-1 Penalty Areas (Rule 17)
Penalty areas are defined by red or yellow stakes
7th Hole: If there is doubt whether the ball is in or lost in the penalty area, the player may play another ball provisionally in accordance with rule 17.1. If the original ball is found inside the penalty area, the player may play the original ball as it lies or continue play with the provisional. If the original ball is found outside the penalty area, the player must continue with the original ball.
E-10 Overhead Cables
If it is known or virtually certain that a player's ball hit an overhead cable during play, the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from where the previous stroke was made under rule 14.6

F-5 Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Greens
In addition to the types of interference described in Rule 16.1a when a ball lies in the general area, interference also exists if the immovable obstruction is on: the players line of play, is within two club lengths of the putting green and is within club lengths of the ball. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b
Pin Position
The coloured flags on the Greens denote the pin positions.
• Red – Front
• Yellow – Middle
• White – Back
- Beyond any boundary of the golf course
- On or over the driveway and/or road left of hole 10
- The practice range marked with white posts and/or white line
- Beyond the ditch left of hole 16

- The exposed tree roots on hole 9 only

- All roads, pathways and flower beds
- Staked, wired or fenced protected trees
- The roadway on hole 1 and any area within one club length of the roadway is deemed part of the obstruction and rule 16 applies
