...a hidden jewel in the 'crown of golf'...
one of life's "better" experiences...

Dyrham Park boasts a beautiful Palladian mansion surrounded by over 200 acres of stunning parkland with outstanding views over the Hertfordshire countryside. Although only 12 miles from Central London, and barely 2 miles from the A1, it is located in the heart of green belt country and has a welcoming air of tranquility and relaxation.
First recorded as the home of the 14th century John Durham, the 'Manor of Durhams' remained a family home for nearly 600 years until passing into County Council ownership in 1938. The atmosphere was revived when Dyrham Park Country Club was founded in the early 1960's.
On the northern edges of the estate a magnificent gateway, said to have been built to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles II, frames the rolling parkland of an 18 hole golf course. The beauty of the immediate surroundings may lull the unsuspecting golfer into expecting a straightforward round however, it does not take long to appreciate the challenges and features of the golf course where water plays a major part in the design and character of several of the holes.
What distinguishes Dyrham Park Country Club from other clubs is its commitment to the family. Whether swimming in the beautiful outdoor pool, playing tennis or improving your golf swing on our seven acre practice ground, there is plenty to keep the active person happily employed. For those inclined to less strenuous activities the traditional atmosphere of the snooker room, the tempting contents of the pro shop or the simple attraction of a deep armchair close to the restaurant offer much to satisfy a mind at leisure.
Our active social calendar offers an eclectic mix of events to interest members and their guests. The magnificent Grand Hall with its elegant staircase, Minstrel's gallery and adjoining reception rooms provides the perfect setting for banquets, parties, charity golf days and corporate events.
